WHO WE ARE:
LEADERSHIP

Justin Eick is the Founder and Artistic Director of Theatrical Education Group and the creator of Summer Acting Camp, one of Southern California’s longest-running and most trusted summer arts programs.
A graduate of UC San Diego, Justin earned his M.F.A. in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University and the Moscow Art Theatre School. He also completed the Stanislavski Summer School in Cambridge, MA and holds a California teaching credential.

But more than anything, Justin is an educator at heart.

For over 28 years, he has dedicated his career to creating structured, confidence-building programs where students feel safe, challenged, and inspired. Since founding Summer Acting Camp in 1998, he has served well over 10,000 students and partnered with more than 190 public and private schools across Southern California through camps, workshops, field trips, and conservatory programs.
In 1999, Justin created Shakespearience, a live educational theatre experience that has been seen by over 100,000 students across California, making it one of the most widely attended theatrical field trips in the state’s history. The production was designed to demystify Shakespeare for students while reinforcing core literacy standards through performance-based learning.

Justin currently serves as the Visual and Performing Arts Chair at La Cañada High School, where he teaches theatre full-time and leads one of the most respected public high school theatre programs in the region. His students have gone on to attend top conservatories and universities nationwide, including Juilliard, Carnegie Mellon, NYU Tisch, UCLA, USC, and the University of Michigan.

In addition to directing over 250 productions, Justin has built educational systems that prioritize kindness, discipline, empathy, and creative courage. Every program under Theatrical Education Group is designed with one core belief:

Theatre is not just about performance - it is about developing confident, capable, and compassionate young people.
Justin lives in Glendale with his wife Madison, who co-leads Theatrical Education Group. Together, they continue to expand programs that serve thousands of students each year with the same integrity and care that launched the camp in 1998.

Madison Eick (Managing Director) is a creative director, entrepreneur, and arts advocate whose career bridges performance, education, and design.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Cal State University, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Public Relations and Organizational Communication, Madison transitioned from performing to educational marketing and producing. She worked for over a decade at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) in leadership roles across admissions, marketing, and co-creating the Cinematic Arts Department.

She co-founded the Summer Arts Conservatory at LACHSA and the Summer Film Camp, programs that have served hundreds of young artists each summer. She also leads the company’s creative divisions: Design by T.E.G., a custom website design studio, and Events by T.E.G., where she produces thoughtfully curated events and experiences. Through her design work, she has created websites for respected arts institutions including Debbie Allen Dance Academy, Duke Ellington School of the Arts, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, USC’s QCB Department, and Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, among others.

In addition to her work in arts education and design, Madison is passionate about interior design and historic home preservation, having lovingly restored her family’s 1927 storybook cottage. A devoted dog lover, she believes creativity, community, and a welcoming environment are at the heart of every meaningful artistic experience.
